  10.      8 Bit Word Length, No Parity, 1 Stop Bit

  12. Calling in the first time will allow you to:
  13.  
  14.      1. Read Quarterdeck News and Bulletins. 
  15.      2. Read messages left for public viewing by the Sysop and Registered 
  16.         users. 
  17.      3. Register to use the BBS for greater access to other BBS services. 
  18.      4. Download technical documents.

  20. After registering you will be able to:
  21.  
  22.      1. Join the Technical and API (Application Program Interface) 
  23.         conferences. 
  24.      2. Leave messages for all other BBS users, a specific user, or the Sysop. 
  25.      3. Gain access to the Desqview-specific, API and other directories.
  26.  
  27.      Many files have been reduced in size with PKZIP.  These files have an 
  28. extension of .ZIP.  To expand the files, use PKUNZIP with a space and then the 
  29. name of the file you want to Unzip.  If you don't have PKUNZIP, it's also on 
  30. the BBS available for download.  PKZIP and PKUNZIP are Shareware programs 
  31. developed and Copyrighted by PKWARE, Inc. of Glendale, Wisconsin.

  33.      The Quarterdeck BBS has five nodes nodes on rotary lines:  US Robotics 
  34. Courier HST modems, supporting communications at up to 14,400 bps.
